Founded in 1992 as Cape Simulations, CapeSym, Inc. is now a multi-faceted company with research and commercial portfolios in electronic materials, process development and optimization software, and thermal management of high power electronics systems.

Our ongoing R&D in materials research leverages decades of experience in crystal growth, solid state physics, analytical chemistry, materials science, thermo-fluid transport, continuum and fracture mechanics, and engineering design. For more than two decades, CapeSym has been on the leading edge of developing computational simulation tools for the materials processing industry. In thermal management arena, CapeSym has developed SYMMIC a unique software for design-stage of high power electronics systems. It has also developed a number of solutions for high heat flux removal, including microjet arrays. CapeSym's services have supported more than 70 companies in thermal management, crystal growth, advanced materials technologies, biomedical devices, and industrial equipment design and fabrication. CapeSym has conducted multiple programs in support of US government agencies missions, including NASA, MDA, USAF, DoE, DTRA, and DNDO.

CapeSym's commercial portfolio currently includes SrI2(Eu) and CLYC(Ce) radiation detectors, CdZnTe radiation detector and substrates, and thermal management software SYMMIC. We also offer materials characterization and engineering consulting services.
